The Evolution of Encryption
1949 CE - America
Claude Shannon, considered the father of mathematical cryptography, published a paper in 1949 entitled "Communications Theory of Secrecy Systems". This brings to light many of the importances and flaws of the contemporary communications systems. This paper is considered the springboard for encryption into the 21st century. 2 years later the US National Security Agency is formed.
